I use the weatherfox extension on firefox to occasionally glance at the weather while I am working. This picture should satisfy your curiosity about my deep interest in the weather. (The popup is for Tuesday when it will be ‘mostly sunny’ as compared to wednesday where the icon is, appropriately enough, a red thermometer!) Oddly enough, for a city that is so blessed with the sun, very few office buildings have covered parking spaces. In fact, it hurts my head to think that a few decades ago, people actually drove in this valley without any air conditioning in their cars! When I was a kid my dad would tell me about the time when he had to walk miles barefoot to school. In Arizona, I guess parents tell their kids about the time when they had to be driven to school in the 114 degree heat with the hot air blasting through the open windows. Time to dig up that old joke about the Arizona heat..
