GeoBlog = Flickr + Google Map
GeoBloggers is a cool hack that allows Flickr users to associates their photos to a location in google maps. The speed of the map drawing is not that impressive tho.

I have used the comment capability of flickr to associate the location where I took the photo to the photo itself. I am gonna call this "GeoPhoto".
A9.com uses GPS
Amazon's A9 adds pictures to yellow pages. Images were first linked to GPS locations which were then tightly linked to street addresses to compensate for GPS inaccuracies.

GPS for Treo 600

Seidio came out with a
GPS car kit for Tree 600 powered by the Seidio SGR-300 Wired Receiver. It totally sucks that the cool Treo 600 still doesn't have bluetooth capability even after there was a $5837
bounty to develop a bluetooth driver. Ah well you will have to upgrade to the costlier
Treo 650 to use those bluetooth GPS receivers.
India, are you ready for this?

By now its old news that the
Garmin iQue3600 was launched in India.
GPS India must have come out with their own version of the maps to support the new PDA/GPS. They never got back (as expected) when I inquired about the map availability. Another device that caught my attention was the
NavTalk GSM. It looks like one of those old clunky cell phones, but its infact a GPS with cell phone capability. This one never got launched in US since
GSM standard was never popular here. But now that most of the carriers provide GSM support I wonder if this product has a new market. Color screen, blue tooth and a smaller form factor would be a big plus. Do we have such phones already?

Parrot's new CK3300 GPS car kit

Parrot has announced its new CK3300 GPS car kit which improves upon its previous CK3100 kit by adding a 12-channel Fastrax GPS receiver. The kit which would retail for ~$250 includes handsfree bluetooth for mobile phones, an LCD display with phonebook and caller ID and audio through car speakers which can automatically mute the car radio. Of course, you would need a bluetooth enabled PDA or laptop to see your GPS maps.
